The Great Cataclysm is a term used to describe the battle between Connor Stax (Ky Stax's dad) and Lokar took part many years ago, in which the planet, Nevrod was destroyed as a result as well as the scattering of Kairu energy across Earth. In response to this, the Redakai of Earth have dispatched warriors to collect the Kairu energy however, their adversary, Lokar has assigned his own team of warriors to collect the Kairu energy before the Redakai.
